Jack Savoretti returns to his roots with his 9th studio album We Will Always Be The Way We Were, released on April 10 2026. Recorded live over 8 days at Eastcote Studios in London with his long-time touring band, the album marks a bold, full-circle moment, reconnecting him with the raw storytelling, musical camaraderie and creative freedom that defined his earliest work. Produced by Tommaso Colliva, the record blends smoky balladry and widescreen arrangements, and finds him unlocking his youth with collaborations including KT Tunstall, Miles Kane and Steph Fraser.
Born in London to an Italian father and German mother, Savoretti grew up surrounded by language and culture, influences that would later shape his songwriting voice. His early career was defined by relentless touring and a close-knit creative community around Ladbroke Grove and Portobello Road, where friendships and musical collaborations took shape.
Across eight previous studio albums, Savoretti has continually evolved while staying true to core themes of love, resilience, identity and connection. Breakthrough success came with 2019’s Singing to Strangers, which debuted at number one in the UK, followed by the European-inspired Europiana and 2024’s Miss Italia, his acclaimed Italian-language album exploring heritage and belonging.
20 years into his career, We Will Always Be The Way We Were stands as both a reflection and a reaffirmation: an artist looking forward by honouring where he began.
