Jaded Satire biography.
One late night, or we can call it an early morning, at an after party two creative minds bumped into each other. Dexter Cliff and Martin Halt shared memories of childhood dreams and spoke about the days to come. They ended up with some studio time trying to figure things out – musically with a sensitive emotional style of expression. Icarus tried to lend the boys his wings and Rapunzel threw down her hair but they graciously declined. Everything happening at that time was a stale satire with a jaded and blunt edge. That´s how Dexter and Martin came up with the name – Jaded Satire.
Jaded Satire made some intelligent dance music which they released as digital singles and also did some dj gigs in the streets and at parties. They also started to dig deep down for a new direction in sound. The lofi beattape sonics soothed their ears and they made some tracks (released on Soundcloud), two of them - “Midnight Brazil” and Jazz Kitchen”- ended up on compilations gathered by Chill Select.
In May 2020 Jaded Satire will give the world their first beattape called “The Adventures of Andy von Taine”. The album contains the styles of lofi beats, 60's pop, some boom bap, jazz and funk with vocal collaborations by Ariel Bloomer (Icon For Hire), Indee Styla among others. It will be released as a cassette and on online music streaming platforms by the U.K. based Chill Select label.
