Jakob Balogh is a German neo-classical and film music composer who has created music for films and commercials.
His emotionally charged atmospheric soundscapes are a mixture of organic and synthetic elements that emanates the feeling of constant movement. Jakob’s style varies between peaceful orchestral composition, solo piano and textural-rhythmic synthesizers.
Jakob has created music for various short films and brands such as Mercedes Benz, Amazon Prime, Assassin's Creed Origins, Tag Heuer, Kiska, SWM and many more. In 2018, he received the Global Film Festival Award in Los Angeles with his music for Marko Roth’s short film <a href="spotify:track:5MidTW5x3FxjK6Kg7Orm7P" data-name="The Crack (Original Soundtrack)">The Crack (Original Soundtrack)</a>.
His soundtrack for <a href="spotify:album:6V1lxjCEu7gjbSLZg6jlP3" data-name="Cosmic Balance (Original Soundtrack)">Cosmic Balance (Original Soundtrack)</a>, a short film about the life of stunt coordinator and precision driver Uwe Mansshardt, was released in 2020.
In 2021, he scored the feature film <a href="spotify:album:1o4iVRfglbtK1ObtGOhBzI" data-name="Sarogeto (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)">Sarogeto (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)</a> which included music by the renowned cellist and composer <a href="spotify:artist:4AeXym6l8sQlRKvUNZkaYp" data-name="Martin Tillman">Martin Tillman</a>.
The EP <a href="spotify:album:15yzFkoRMvsPWB24S7VCUR" data-name="A Billion Seconds">A Billion Seconds</a> comprises several songs such as <a href="spotify:track:2Es9iibKTJOa2sJbxQ7OVN" data-name="Quellwasser">Quellwasser</a> and <a href="spotify:track:2sru6It2VV6F74ro84SrpX" data-name="Nebelgestalten">Nebelgestalten</a>, the latter of which was composed for a contemporary dance video.
