A SoCal supergroup featuring neo-bluesman <a href="spotify:artist:7bE9OZdKvqgLYxJWabpNL6">G. Love</a>, surfer-turned-musician <a href="spotify:artist:2IAZ2xX1Ovh5jxhBWE7wda">Donavon Frankenreiter</a>, and scenester-turned-studio whiz <a href="spotify:artist:23apFYuBTpFemqLDn8ViLW">Cisco Adler</a>, Jamtown styled themselves as a "Netflix age <a href="spotify:artist:2pdvghEHZJtgSXZ7cvNLou">Crosby, Stills & Nash</a>." This means the trio, despite their funky name, specialize in good vibes, breezy harmonies, and strummed acoustic guitars, the very things that evoke a sunset on a beach.
Originally, the trio was going to be the duo of <a href="spotify:artist:7bE9OZdKvqgLYxJWabpNL6">G. Love</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2IAZ2xX1Ovh5jxhBWE7wda">Frankenreiter</a>, but when <a href="spotify:artist:23apFYuBTpFemqLDn8ViLW">Adler</a> joined in on harmony, the three musicians realized they were a group. Adopting the name Jamtown, the group recorded an album, inviting a few friends -- including <a href="spotify:artist:7enBrBojgBJuPPdqTq4Z5F">Citizen Cope</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0Hd5wMyas6F2k5kBNeBmnB">Duane Betts</a> -- to play on the record.
