Jarell J. Smalls, a native of (downtown) Charleston, South Carolina, was always different. His mother and grandmother, being woman of great faith, kept him and his siblings in church in the Unincorporated towns of Cainhoy, Wando and Huger South Carolina. Which they called the DC “Deep Country”. This is where he learned what he calls “Good Old Fashion Church”. His prophetic anointing has opened doors for him to travel extensively throughout the United States of America.
He has an extraordinary voice accompanied with a unique anointing that transcends through denominational and traditional barriers. With singing being his passion, he founded the group Gospel Inspiration in 2007. The group produced their first album "Get Ready" in November of 2009.
In December of 2013 Jarell released his solo Christmas project entitled “Jesus is the Reason”, which includes #1 hit “Mary Rock the Baby.” On May 19, 2017 he released his now nationally distributed album with Jarell Smalls and Company "A New Season" featuring billboard charting single "Prayer Room". This project was considered for a Grammy and Nominated for 4 Stellar Awards In 2019.
On March 19, 2020 Jarell Smalls and Company released another hit single “We Need Your Power”.
In June of 2020 Jarell Smalls survived a near death experience and is now about to release his 1st book Entitled “I HAVE A RESON TO LIVE” surviving COVID-19.
