In June 2024, Jay made his solo debut with the album "Hold Your Horses", a 10-track collection steeped in grit, twang, and timeless country soul. Co-written with Nashville’s own David Ray Stevens, the songwriting ace behind hits for artists like Jelly Roll, this record showcases Jay’s natural storytelling, blending boom-chicka-boom rhythms with heartfelt reflections straight off the dusty trail.
But Jay didn't stop there. In May 2024, he packed his boots and boarded a plane to Milan, Italy, teaming up with the world-class Don Diego Trio to cut his follow-up release, "Go Tell ’Em". This one’s for the dancers and the dreamers, a vintage-styled barn-burner built for the Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, Stroll, Jive, Shim Sham, and every hardwood floor in between. The album, released on El Toro records, marries Jay’s deep croon with Don Diego’s road-tested, guitar-driven swing, making for a red-hot international collaboration soaked in 1950s charm.
When he’s not in the studio, Jay keeps the spirit of Johnny Cash alive as the frontman for the international touring act Church of Cash, and stars in the immersive tribute stage show, The Folsom Prison Experience.
