The JENS project was founded in 1992 by Jens Mahlstedt and Gerret Frerichs. The two guys released a string of records on Hamburg´s Superstition label until 2004.
Today, Jens Mahlstedt keeps the JENS vibe alive. Being a DJ, music producer and composer, he writes club music and soundtracks for theatre, film and experimental fashion shows.
He has played every half decent techno and house club in Europe, every Love Parade throughout the Nineties, E-Werk Berlin, Energy Rave Zurich, Mayday etc. Residencies at Beehive (Berlin), Opera House (Hamburg), Maxx and T-Dance (Bremen) have put him on the DJ map.
