British pianist Jeremy Menuhin is the son of violinist <a href="spotify:artist:32i0ni9RO8Q7T7T7ZqkGU2">Yehudi Menuhin</a>. He attended Eton College, and after graduation studied composition with <a href="spotify:artist:1vfC2bld90kx966JTCSwf7">Nadia Boulanger</a>, conducting with <a href="spotify:artist:2wUK4PFFXkJKD3xhBjLwJM">Hans Swarowsky</a>, and piano with Mindu Katz. Menuhin performed with the <a href="spotify:artist:3PfJE6ebCbCHeuqO4BfNeA">London Philharmonic Orchestra</a> in 1966, and made his first recording on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Angel+Records%22">Angel Records</a> with that orchestra in 1968, performing with his father and his aunts Hepzibah Menuhin and Yaltah Menuhin. A strained tendon caused him to cancel performances in the mid-1970s, but in 1984 he made his comeback in New York and won the Young Concert Artists Piano Competition. He has appeared with the <a href="spotify:artist:003f4bk13c6Q3gAUXv7dGJ">Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:6uRJnvQ3f8whVnmeoecv5Z">Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:2DO4p3CPDnInsJfg0jFfaF">English Chamber Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:1Xw28dK9PzkDagTyuRRnGd">St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:0MvSBMGRQJY3mRwIbJsqF1">Royal Philharmonic Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:6yeL5iw4hXNZtd8T7FOoFU">Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:51RiZjPgKKJ1uDsZVmntmF">Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:6pGe5UWJS9EoS3NweMtZ2M">Netherlands Chamber Orchestra</a>, and the <a href="spotify:artist:7m5yQHpGKbm9YHcUdrZElN">Salzburg Mozarteum</a>, among many others, though he has recorded most often as a chamber musician. His recording of <a href="spotify:artist:5zyNXVd952fWOjkdGHCvPd">Bartók</a>'s violin sonatas with <a href="spotify:artist:32i0ni9RO8Q7T7T7ZqkGU2">Yehudi Menuhin</a> appeared on the <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Ad%C3%A8s%22">Adès</a> label and won the Grand Prix du Disque.
