Jewel Villaflores has come a long way since her debut in the music scene with VISPOP in 2013. She started her stint at songwriting at the age of 6. Born and raised in Hilongos, Leyte, Philippines, her music speaks from the heart of a province girl with seemingly endless stories to tell.

"We used to write about stars, love and time machines and none of them made sense. Life is full of stories. I want to capture each story or feeling through my songs. Writing a song is like taking a picture. You can hold onto it forever... and the world has all its ears open.", she says in an interview with Sunstar Weekend.
