JJ Fad is a rap group from Rialto, Ca. About 45 miles east of Los Angeles, who’s name stands for Just Jammin Fresh and Def and we’re backed by Clarence “D.J.Train”Lars. (RIP) JJ Fad gained popularity with the line up that included MCJB(Juana Burns) Baby D’(Dania Birks) and
Sassy C’(Michelle Franklin)
The groups most notable hit was 1988’s Supersonic, which was Grammy nominated and made the female trio the first female group to be nominated and go platinum.
In 2006 Fergie (Black eyed peas) used their song Supersonic to make her smash hit “Fergalicious” which went 5 times platinum and put JJ Fad back in the forefront. The trio now tour around the nation doing old school shows and guest appearances. All 3 original members plus their new DJ Arabian Prince who along with Dr. Dre produced the Supersonic album, tour together and are in great demand. The group have dubbed themselves the Ruthless Princesses and say they owe a great deal to their Boss, Mentor, and Friend Eazy-E and the rest of N.W.A. along with Dr. Dre for their success. They were just honored by the City of Rialto where they are from, with their very own Street Name JJFAD WAY!
