A sonic experimention and journey into tropical, electric, funky original music was begun by Jose Conde subtly over 20 years ago as an exploration of rhythmic crosscurrents between Cuban music, funk, and various world traditions. This exploration is evident in his songs and arrangements of 5 albums recorded with his so many great NY Latin and world music musicians over the years. The singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist has now embarked on a new, very danceable, largely electronic journey into solo music creation and manipulation using loopers, Moog Synth, vocalese, beat boxing, guitar, percussion and more. Conde was the recipient of the Best Latin Album IMA in 2008 with his Ola Fresca group for their genre bending album (R)Evolucion originally on MR Bongo UK. His first solo album (JOSE CONDE self titled) received accolades worldwide. Brooklyn based for most of his career Jose Conde has relocated his home base to Miami where he is currently planning for a 2019 release of his second solo album and beginning the new adventure of solo performance.
