Josh Abrahams emerged from the underground dance music scene in Australia in the early 1990s. He has primarily performed and recorded under the stage name Puretone. Abrahams is a composer, producer and musician with an extensive catalogue of exceptional music.
He is best known for his song Addicted to Bass which was a massive hit worldwide, going Top 15 in his native Australia, peaking at #2 in the United Kingdom (as Puretone), and reaching the #1 position on the US Dance Charts. Josh also had chart success with the hit single 'Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen', released under Baz Luhrmann's name, but co-written and co-produced by Josh.
