I’m J.P. Kallio, a Finnish-born indie folk singer-songwriter living in a small village in Burgundy, France. After years touring across Europe and 27 years in Dublin’s pub scene, I turned a 1970s caravan into a studio beside my garden, a quiet space where stories breathe and songs grow wild.
My music blends acoustic folk and ambient textures, rooted in nature and the moments of calm when life slows down. I write about change, belonging, and the search for peace in a noisy world.
There’s a Scandinavian melancholy in my melodies, but also warmth, a sense that even the sad songs are reaching for the light.
I release a new song every three weeks, each one a reflection of where I stand, as an artist, a wanderer, and a gardener learning to listen to the earth. 🌿
