Blessed with a haunting, ethereal voice, Falkirk-born Julienne Taylor has been described as “Scotland’s best female voice since Annie Lennox.” She released her debut single, a cover of Bob Dylan's ‘Like A Rolling Stone,’ as a teenager in 1995 but her singing career was derailed after she suffered serious injuries in a car accident. Julienne then studied to become a recording studio engineer before resuming her singing career as a background vocalist for artists as diverse as synth-pop icon Gary Numan and blues rocker Paul Rogers. In 2000, she made her debut album, Racing The Clouds Home, where she established a distinctive folk-influenced musical style that drew on her Scottish heritage. Describing her sound as “pop music with a Celtic thread,” she joined the Hong Kong-based Evosound label in 2008, releasing four albums for the company, including an in-concert record, Live At The Lyric. Her new album Forever Our Love Remains is a best of compilation that includes three new tracks, all inspired remakes of classic ‘80s pop songs.
