Decade and a half ago, Junaid Khan started making his name in the Pakistani rock music scene as a young boy. His musical journey and his strong vocals brought him local and international acclaim and recognition and he made his mark with songs like Sab Bhula K and Pukar which are still popular rock songs even after decades. Junaid along with his band won many accolades and awards for his music, ensuring a place for himself as a front runner of the industry. His two albums, Dhoom and Jilawatan (with his band Call) and many hit solo singles are testament to his talent as a vocalist.
From international tours, to brand endorsements and jingles for brands such as UFone, Pepsi, Warid, Telenor and McDonalds, to singing for the Pak Air Force, Junaid’s music is inspiring. His latest hit, Main Rasta which he sung for Coke Studio Season 9 is the nation’s favorite youth anthem.
15 years later he is the country’s most loved rock singer and now a seasoned actor who is considered TVs favorite leading man. Having worked in scores of Pakistani dramas since 2010, Junaid has given some power packed performances in dramas like Matae-Jaan, Yahan Pyar Nahi Hai, Ye mera deewanapun hai and Bin Roye. He has also lent his vocals to many OST’s of his projects such as Natak, Marzi and Sun Yara, showing his range as a singer.
