Officially forming in Nottingham in 2020, Jungleland is a British rock band made up of; James Warner (vocals), Charlie Conduit (guitarist), Harry Mason (guitarist), Andrew Whitaker (bass), Oliver Melville (drums). Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the now 5 piece were eventually able to start rehearsing and soon felt they were ready to record their first singles and an EP. Linking up with producer Lewis Chapman at Far Heath Studios, the band and Lewis spent 2 days perfecting their debut EP. Their debut single 'Playing On My Mind' was played on BBC Introducing East Midlands by Dean Jackson, followed by their second single 'Troubled Water', which released on the 26th of February. Their debut EP was released on the 26th of March. Jungleland have already started working their way round the local scene, playing gigs at Rough Trade Nottingham and The Chapel. In February 2022, their song 'I Can't Go Back', which was recorded and mixed in the garage of James' university house, was selected by BBC Introducing for airtime on BBC Radio Nottingham.
Inspired by British artists such as Oasis, Sam Fender, and the Vaccines, they also draw inspiration from overseas artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and U2. Jungleland can be described as a high-intensity guitar-based band with big ambitions and even bigger tunes.
