Named after Bill Hicks' legendary comedy routine, Just A Ride is a dynamic four-piece band whose music is a fusion of nu-metal, punk, and alternative rock, all rolled up into electrifying grunge-inspired anthems. Inspired by Hicks' philosophy and outlook, the band’s music challenges listeners to ask difficult questions while advocating for positivity and love in the face of the fear and doubt we are inundated with across all forms of media.
Now back with their new single “Waiting”, after their self-titled debut album garnered enthusiastic reviews and support from Metal Hammer, Planet Rock, and Kerrang radio. “Waiting” is a song that explores the sub-culture of simping and sheds a light on the perspectives of both parties involved in what is a bizarre, cold, and transactional practice
Taking musical cues from the angular riffs of Foo Fighters and the psychedelic inspired Tiny Music era Stone Temple Pilots, “Waiting” is a rollercoaster of emotion and energy that takes the listener through a number of almost contradictory moods.
With a main support slot on fellow UK rockers Gin Annie’s upcoming tour and festival appearances at Station 18, Rockwich, and Planet RockStock on the horizon; Just A Ride are primed to continue making a name for themselves as one of the scene's most exciting live acts.
