Karçaz

Karçaz is a Black metal, Black Death, Black Thrash, Atmospheric Black Metal (and also with doom metal elements) musical project created in mid-December 2023 in the state of Minas Gerais, in the city of Belo Horizonte, by Lucas Dâmaso (whose full name is Lucas Henrique Damaso Da Silva), who adopted the pseudonym 'Profanus Damasus'. The name 'Karçaz' is a distortion of the word "carcaça".

History
The project was created from third-party influences, taking inspiration from bands with relevant names, such as <a href="spotify:artist:0aIcU4OHpKl7lpcRQp32Eo" data-name="Nargaroth">Nargaroth</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7kWnE981vITXDnAD2cZmCV" data-name="Darkthrone">Darkthrone</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3bPSw3qkTeBZXnfDFUqmPG" data-name="Sarcófago">Sarcófago</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:68exoYKyr4yPvuRnk0jIxL" data-name="Velho">Velho</a>, among many others. Soon, &#39;Profanus Damasus&#39; released several works throughout 2024, with releases also in 2025. Lucas Dâmaso started posting his songs on his YouTube channel called KarcazOficial, then everything changed when he signed a contract with the distributor imusics and soon, from November 2024, his songs were finally able to go to streaming platforms worldwide. He also created his own profile on Encyclopaedia Metallum, the largest website dedicated to the entire Heavy Metal scene and its branches.

The only member of Karçaz is its creator Profanus Damasus, who also composes all of the instruments.
