Karmen Rõivassepp is a young award-winning Estonian jazz vocalist, composer, big band conductor
and arranger, that in the recent years has grown quite a following and achieved great recognition in
both Denmark and abroad. Rõivassepp is fluent in a variety of musical styles – playfully navigating
between mainstream, latin and contemporary jazz. She is noticed for her instrument-like singing,
clear sound and always charming and effortless performance.
Having a versatile profile, Rõivassepp has become an integral part of the Danish and Estonian jazz scene, leaving her voice, compositions and arrangements on a number of latest releases, with much more to come later in the year. For her outstanding work on "Ambivalence" with Aarhus Jazz Orchestra she received the Composer of the Year award at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2023 and Jazz Album of the Year award at the Estonian Music Awards 2024.
