Eclectic London based artist Kate Thomas recently made her EP “The Lion’s Raw” available as an instrumental only version. Kate steps aside in this new version allowing YOU to be part of the band #GetCreativeChallenge
“We have all been working so hard to survive this pandemic physically and mentally but amongst our struggles I have been blown away by everyone’s resilience and creativity. I am going to keep encouraging this creativity so I have decided to release an instrumental version of my EP “The Lion’s Raw”. I have hung up my vocals on this occasion so that you guys can sing-a-long and play-a-long. So if fiery Latin guitarras, wild gypsy rhythms, smoky jazz ballads or acoustic folk arpeggiations are your bag then this is an EP to get creative with!"
If you are missing Kate’s vocals however or perhaps you want to hear them for the first time you can check out the original version of her EP “The Lion’s Raw”. Kate also released a smoky, heartbreaking, jazz ballad back in February "How Did I Get Back Here Again”. This latest release echoes back to an early style of jazz that was embodied by singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday & Sarah Vaughan. It combines that classic jazz feel with modern production and a nod to contemporary jazz artists such as Melody Gardot, Zaz & Madeleine Peyroux.
Kate is also hosting a Bob Dylan listening party this weekend as Bob Dylan tickets available online
