Kendrick Family

The Kendrick Family began singing in early childhood while traveling with their parents, Jason and Jody, in evangelistic ministry. Bro. Kendrick has preached on the road for nearly three decades, and he trained his children in clear diction, proper breathing, and open-toned singing. A close family friend introduced them to four-part harmony, which soon became central to their music.

Grace was the first to sing at age four. Her brothers—Luke, Mark, and Daniel—soon followed, learning guitar from the few chords their father taught them; within months they surpassed him. Their younger siblings, Emily and Jay, later joined the family ensemble. Over time the boys learned guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, resonator guitar, harmonica, and bass. Grace devoted herself to piano, and Emily learned bass guitar.

The children often joked that they learned much of their style from watching The Andy Griffith Show and listening to close friends such as the Rochesters. Their first recording was released around 2010. Five more followed, with their most recent album completed in 2024.
