Kenya is probably your favorite artist’s favorite artist.
The award-winning singer/songwriter has shared the stage with such luminaries as Lalah Hathaway, Rachelle Ferrell and Raul Midon amongst others. She’s charted on Billboard’s Urban Adult Contemporary chart, Smooth Jazz Independent chart, and the UK Soul Chart where her 2015 album, My Own Skin, held the top spot for four consecutive weeks. A festival favorite, Kenya has played to sold out audiences in beloved venues across the country (Washington D.C.’s Blues Alley, Los Angeles’ Biltmore, Atlanta’s St. James Live) and overseas (London’s Jazz Cafe, Manchester, UK’s Band on the Wall).
More recently, Kenya collaborated with the legendary Gerald Albright for a brilliant rearrangement of the classic “My Favorite Things” simply entitled, “Favorite Things” and also released a teaser single called “Back To Forever” that’ll be featured on her upcoming new album, “S.H.E.”
In addition to her vast musical output, Kenya is an entrepreneur who inspires not only her fans, but also artists whom she mentors and coaches within her artist development agency, Creating Crimson. You can also catch her as a co-host on the weekly podcast she created called Making Money in the Music Business.
