Kerenyi/Spears is the duo of producer Deke Spears and songwriter Justin Kerenyi. Deke has worked on Justin’s solo music for years but it wasn't until Reverie that the pair really began to write together and through happenstance, Deke became the main singer for the project. Originally, the plan was to recruit various singers to perform on the album. Deke’s vocals were recorded just as a reference guide to help inform the melodies and articulation of the arrangements. But as the project went on Justin began to urge Deke to consider keeping his vocals on the record and having the project be a co-released album…and Reverie was born!
