Shakur Khalil, known professionally as KhafreThaSphinx, or KTS is a 24 year-old Singer, Rapper, and Songwriter hailing from North West London.
Khafre grew up listening to a variety of American-based Rap and R&B music from the 1980s - 2000s, gaining inspiration from rappers such as Tupac Shakur, The Wu-Tang Clan, and Pete Rock, as well as a deeper love for music through singers such as Keith Sweat, Maxwell, Jodeci, and Marques Houston. Khafre’s Caribbean heritage is also prevalent in some of his dancehall inspired songs too.
Khafre's rap influences create a raw and real storytelling-like delivery that is uncannily synonymous with how many people feel. Khafre brings to life the complex dynamics of all kinds of relationships, current affairs and speaks out to the hopers and dreamers, giving off that genuine, empathetic, and relatable feel in all of his work.
Khafre collaborated on a number of singles such as 'All Summer', 'Nothing on You' & 'Nothing New' with up-and-coming artist OreOJ, and featured on fellow 42-member DREAM's Single 'Underplayed' all of which are out now on all platforms.
As for 2022, Khafre is releasing multiple music videos throughout the remainder of the year, with a feature length, long-anticipated debut album to be dropped in the second half of the year as well. A 42 Tape involving ALL of The 42 Collective members is also in the works, so stay tuned and be prepared for the takeover!
