Hi, I'm Kim, from the cold and distant Trondheim in Norway. My journey into music? Picture a ten-year-old kid, equally obsessed with MTV and The Cure as with the timeless classical piano music and choral singing in the Nidaros Cathedral Boys’ Choir. That was me, balancing between the worlds of pop culture and classical training.
Choral music, with its deep emotional currents, stole my heart early on. It all kicked off with my first major work, the "Magnificat," leading to a Grammy nomination. Since then, I've had my compositions performed in over 50 countries.
Pieces like "Even when He is silent," "Cradle Hymn," and "Flight Song" have found their way into the hearts of listeners worldwide, and it's been surreal to see my music resonate on such a global scale.
Lately, I’ve been exploring the world of piano music with Decca Classics, where "Winter Moon" soared to No. 1 on Apple Music's classical charts. And the journey continues with collaborations that span from the BBC Singers to choirs across the globe.
