King Coya

King Coya is Gaby Kerpel, a reknowed music composer and producer who blends traditional Colombian cumbia and Argentine folklore with electronic music.
His credits include the score to theatre companies &quot;De La Guarda&quot; and &quot;Fuerza Bruta&quot; and records &quot;Carnabailito&quot; (Nonesuch 2001), <a href="spotify:artist:3o1PqOdaqzmzkYtYdUQxNe" data-name="Terraplén">Terraplén</a> (with Diego Vainer and Daniel Martín) (Universal 2010) both produced by <a href="spotify:artist:4W3fa7tiXGVXl3KilbACqt" data-name="Gustavo Santaolalla">Gustavo Santaolalla</a> ; and &quot;<a href="spotify:album:1dEXZ1vUUTSLyAsqUWVQq7" data-name="Tira torito">Tira torito</a>&quot; with andean singer Balvina Ramos.
&quot;Cumbias de Villa Donde&quot;, (ZZK 2009) is a collection of original down-tempo, electro folklorica that bridges indigenous music with global dance, featuring La Yegros, who later releases her two albums “Viene de Mi” (ZZK/Waxploitation/Parlaphone 2013) and &quot;Magnetismo&quot; (Waxplotation/Soundway/2016) produced by King Coya, with big success in Europe.
