Since June 2014, the Kix Garcia Band has been sharing a musical experience of Texas country that has transformed each of their performances into a personal connection with their fans. Their traditional country influence coupled with this charismatic relationship has allowed each band member to grow independently as musicians and as writers of their music. Their “small town” feel has been inspired by country greats like Merle Haggard, Midland, George Strait and the Randy Rogers Band.
The band has evolved from a couple of guys hanging out and playing in a storage unit (just for "Kix"), to releasing 3 songs to radio and being consecutively featured on the Texas Regional Radio and Texas Country Music Charts.
The band is made up of Kix Garcia (vocals/guitar/writer), Eddie Garcia (lead guitar/backup vocals/writer), Eloy Cantu (bass), Cris Pecina (drums), and Gilbert Garcia (backup guitar/vocals). Kix and Eddie Garcia are brothers and attribute their passion for country music to their mother, Cleatis Ann Garcia, who introduced them to the music with the likes of Alan Jackson, Tracy Lawrence, Vince Gill, Clint Black and George Strait at an early age.
