Rapper Kia Philips (K.P.) and singer Susan Hedgepeth (Envyi) teamed up as K.P. & Envyi for the 1997 single "Swing My Way." A perfect example of late-'90s Southern-style crossover, the <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22EastWest%22">EastWest</a> release, produced by Michael "Mixzo" Johnson, reached number five on Billboard''s R&B/Hip-Hop chart and also reached the Top Ten of the club and Hot 100 charts. The duo temporarily reconnected in 2005 on <a href="spotify:artist:6nfYGe7IIuuP5bMY1jkJP6">Jermaine Dupri</a>'s Young, Fly & Flashy, Vol. 1 compilation, for which they contributed "Put Cha Hands Up." Hedgepeth later performed under the name Sioux Lane and competed on BET's gospel-singing talent competition Sunday Best. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
