Kyd the Band is the project of Nashville-based artist Devin Guisande, whose music blends raw honesty, alternative pop, and soul-baring vocals into a soundtrack for finding your place in a chaotic world. Raised in Northern California in a Pentecostal family, Devin grew up playing drums in church and teaching himself piano and guitar. At 16, he started a band with his brother Kyle, writing songs by instinct—without any exposure to mainstream music. Leaving the church he grew up in at 18 completely changed his life: “I was told I’d be a preacher, but I needed to find out who I really was.”

After moving to L.A. with a handful of self-recorded songs, he hustled his way into sessions with major names but eventually relocated to Nashville, TN with his brother Kyle following shortly after. They wrote tirelessly—sleeping on the floor, working day jobs, and writing all night—eventually landing cuts with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Robin Schulz. When Kyle left the band, Devin carried the torch, signing a record deal with Sony Music Germany/Sony Insanity Records and going on to tour with artists like NF and Lennon Stella.

For Devin, Kyd the Band is more than music—it’s a mirror for anyone trying to figure out where they belong. “Everything I write comes from my life,” he says. “I just hope people who feel lost hear it and see a bit of their own story in mine.”
