A protege of <a href="spotify:artist:5ksRONqssB7BR161NTtJAm">Ace of Base</a> producer Anders Bagge, Swedish dance-pop singer Laila was born in 1973; upon relocating to Gothenburg as a teen, she studied at the city's ballet academy, and after graduating in 1992 moved to Stockholm to begin teaching at a dance school.
