Lakota is a friend and ally who will quickly change its plumage to surprise you with a new cast each release. The only constant is Bern based bass player Jeremias Keller (Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin, King Pepe, Jeremias Kellers Vertigo…) who’s fulfilling his long cherished dream of a homestudio-project lead and produced by him. As the name of the project suggests, Lakota features a selection of Kellers top-class musician friends and allies, benefiting from the constant change of the cast and their various influences.
Lakota is also the name of an ancient indigenous language in which various dialects are spoken, without hindering communication. The same goes for the musicians of Lakota: origins and provenance may be different; the musical language is the same - just with a different accent.
