New Zealand artist Laurence Larson 羅藝恆 fell in love with the Chinese language, music and culture in his high school years. In 2013 he started posting remixes and bilingual versions of Mando-pop covers while learning Chinese at Auckland Uni alongside a pop music degree. Within a year, he had multiple videos going viral across China‘s social media platforms, leading to opportunities to join shows like 中國好歌曲 and 夢想的聲音 and launching his bilingual music career.
Laurence has spent the past eight years living and working in Beijing and Taipei, making a name for himself as a performing artist and songwriter in the C-pop scene. He now releases his debut bilingual album “Wanna Be With You” as an Independent artist. Across seven tracks, Laurence brings a unique combination of R&B melodies mixed with C-pop inspired hooks, seamlessly transitioning between two languages.
