LCMDF, consisting of sisters Emma and Mia Kemppainen, started off as Le Corps Mince de Françoise somewhere around 2007, pouring the pains and heartache of their poor teenage brains into music, pawing the way for something never-seen-before in the Finnish music scene. The girls got known for their raw electro-pop bangers (also bangs), unapologetic attitude and jolting live-shows. Since then, they have toured the world, signed body parts, had all the local wine in France and sung karaoke in Tokyo. Battered by touring and artist life, they were left feeling old but young (insert Benjamin Button reference here) and after 10 years in Berlin, they both returned to their hometown Helsinki to finally write that record they had been carrying in them this whole time. Growing up in the music industry, it wasn’t always the best parent (sometimes mere a creepy uncle) but the sisters learned, failed, lead and followed. They took the best pain and the worst and so a record came to life. It was the most beautiful Frankenstein’s monster, together but broken.

It’s new, it’s old, it’s rough and slick at the same time - it’s “Sad Bangers”.
