How it started:
Leaving the Sequence is a one-man band from Russia that was founded by Alex Evensen. It started as a progressive metalcore internet project in May 2016, but then changed genres to synthwave with rock elements.

The main theme of my music is space. Each track is based on real things or events associated with them.
What does “Leaving the Sequence” mean?
The project's name is based on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, which is used to classify stars by spectral class. Stars with spectral class like our sun are placed in the main sequence. After 10 billion years of existence, stars similar to ours die and leave the main sequence.
"Leaving the Sequence" means the death of a star, or more precisely, the death of our sun.
