이희문 (소리꾼, 이희문컴퍼니 대표)
이희문컴퍼니는 소리꾼 이희문을 주축으로 성악, 기악, 무용 등 다양한 장르의 예술가들이 모인 집단이다. 이희문은 방대한 레퍼토리의 보고인 경기민요(한국 경기도 지역의 토착민요)를 모티브로 장르의 융합을 시도한 공연을 만든다. 그는 한국예술 계의 변방에 놓인 전통성악을 공연의 중심으로 끌어와 자신만의 소리로 관객에게 노래를 듣는 새로운 방법을 제시하는 작업 을 해오고 있다.
LEE Heemoon (Traditional singer, Gyeonggi minyo[folk music])
LEE Hee-moon Company, led by Korean traditional lyrical storyteller 'sorikkun' Lee Hee-moon, is comprised of singers, musicians and dancers from a variety of disciplines. Lee's performances attempt a hybrid of genres, taking the vast repertoire of folk songs('minyo') of Gyeonggi area as motif. He brings Korean traditional vocal music to the core which has been sidelined in the Korean arts scene and creates a distinctive sound that suggests to the audience a new way of appreciating Korean vocal music.
