In 2022, when a seventeen-year-old Leo told his family and friends that he was going to get up onstage at one of the upcoming Wembley Stadium shows of his favourite band, Coldplay, and play with them, nobody could foresee that a few months later he would do just that. Since that moment, he’s been aspiring to get back on that stage - but this time with his own songs.
Originally from North London and currently a student at BIMM Bristol, Leo is gaining a reputation as an artist to watch out for. With soulful, sophisticated ballads and a full band with a modern twist on an upbeat 70s/80s vibe, he puts on a show that will have you both dancing around to energetic tunes and hit in the feels by more introspective songs.
Taking influence from the catchy melodies of the likes of Bruno Mars, along with the clever lyrics and emotive nature of the works of FINNEAS and Lizzy McAlpine, Leo released his second single, Strawberry Sun, last June. Written and recorded entirely in his university dorm room, this is a catchy and dream-like song, capturing in its own way the soulful feel of the works of Etta James and Teddy Swims.
The 20 year old released his latest single, Flying With You Tonight, on the 16th May. This is a fun, catchy and uptempo song with a danceable beat, featuring saxophone played by the talented Oliver Schultz - a former bandmate of Leo’s from school and a valued member of the Bristol Jazz scene.
His next live show will be at The Lanes in Bristol on 31st May.
