Blending personal stories with original melodies, genre-crossing singer-songwriter Lester Lam is making waves in Hong Kong's indie scene. Originally from Malaysia, Lester's cozy and vibey tunes are influenced by pop, folk, and R&B. In his debut EP "Unwithered Blue," he candidly expresses his emotions through brutally honest conversations, showcased in the hit "Out of This World".
In his sophomore EP, "Aquilo," Lester explores mythology-inspired themes, weaving world music elements into his narratives, with the fan-favorite single “Sailing Boat” showcasing his evolving artistry. His compelling storytelling continues to captivate listeners.
In 2023, Lester dropped his single album "Rainy Days in the Blue Whale," introducing his first dance track, “Rain On Me,” alongside the gentle ballad “Snow” and a collaboration with Daniel Toh on “Fluid Love.” To mark the release, he performed his first headline show in January 2023.
Looking ahead, Lester is preparing to launch a new EP featuring recent singles “lost in between,” “how to turn back time,” and “blame it on the love,” which reflect his struggles with a quarter-life crisis and his search for a new path.
