Kevin Kaho Tsui

Tokyo based songwriter Kevin Kaho Tsui was born and raised in Hong Kong and spent much of his youth living in Scotland and England. His musical journey began in his early years, deeply influenced by iconic British bands such as The Beatles and Oasis, as well as the introspective songwriting of Damien Rice.

His student years in Manchester marked a transformative period, during which he immersed himself in the indie music scene, frequently attending live underground gigs and music festivals, which further shaped his musical and artistic identity. This period also marked the beginning of his online presence; he started sharing cover songs on YouTube, gradually transitioning to writing and releasing original material.

Kevin's music, characterized by a blend of indie folk and dream-pop, resonated with listeners and helping him cultivate a small dedicated following in his hometown. Kevin received invitations to perform at various live events and festivals across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan. In the summer of 2022, he realized a long-held ambition by relocating to Tokyo. There, he aims to connect with a wider audience while continuing to perform across different cities in Asia.

Kevin is also pursuing his aspiration to compose original soundtracks for films, eager to leave his mark on the cinematic landscape.
