A six-piece alternative band from Marikina, Makati, and Pasig called LIBRE was founded in 2015. Kevin Hermosada, also known as, Valdo of Team Payaman on Vocals, Aldrin Luay on Lead Guitar/Backup Vocalist, Kenneth Dela Peña on Bass/Back Up Vocalist, Dani Pajarillo on Drums, Elizar "Eli" Almencion on Keys, and Daryld Cagol on Rhythm Guitar/Back Up Vocals.
When Kevin, Aldrin, and Kenneth's previous band, "Beating The Red Lights," split up, they decided to establish a new band with the addition of Dani Pajarillo, who was playing bass for the Giniling Festival, Joseph Karl, Kevin's college classmate who would play the keys, and Daryld Cagol, a friend. Keyboardist Joseph Karl part ways with the band in 2022, and he was replaced by Elizar "Eli" Almencion, a keyboard player who also happened to be a friend of Yow (Anthony Jay Andrada) of team Payaman.
They chose the name LIBRE because it represents the sentiment of every Filipino, who is likes "FREE THINGS"
