Carissa Ramos is an Alternative Pop artist, bassist, and songwriter from the Philippines.

She began playing music at the age of 14 and, at just 17 years old, represented the Philippines at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

Over the years, Carissa has established herself as one of the most sought-after bassists in the Philippine music scene. She currently serves as the touring bassist for December Avenue, performing in major local and international shows. She was also a member of the all-female power trio Catfight alongside Sid Buan and Jian Lubiano, as well as the theatrical horror-rock band Mr. Bones and The Boneyard Circus.

As a session musician, Carissa has performed with some of the Philippines’ most respected artists and bands, including Mayonnaise, Oktaves, Apartel, Valley of Chrome, and music icon Ely Buendia.

Driven by a desire to explore her own artistic voice, Carissa launched her solo career in 2021. Since then, she has released five original Filipino singles that showcase her distinct songwriting style and reflect her evolution as a musician and storyteller.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, her music explores themes of love, heartbreak, resilience, and hope. As she continues to develop new material, Carissa is preparing for the release of her debut full-length album, featuring collaborations with some of the country’s most exciting artists.
