Carissa Ramos is a rising Alternative Pop artist from the Philippines.

She started playing at the age of 14 and became the Philippines’ representative in the prestigious “International Blues Competition” in Memphis, USA when she was only 17.

Over the years, Carissa has become one of the most sought after bassists in the Philippines. She is currently the touring bass player for the music icon Ely Buendia, enabling her to frequently perform in high profile shows both local & international. She was one of the members of all-female power trio Catfight (with Sid Buan and Jian Lubiano) and of horror rock/theatrical macabre band Mr. Bones and The Boneyard Circus. She has also played as a session musician for notable bands in the Philippines such as December Avenue, Mayonnaise, Oktaves, Apartel, Valley of Chrome & Razorback.

Although Carissa enjoys the experiences she gets as a bassist, she felt she could do much more as a musician. This influenced her decision to pursue a solo career in music. Since making her debut as solo artist in 2021, she has already released five All-Filipino singles that showcase her songwriting prowess and encapsulate her personal growth as a musician, an artist and a person. Her songs mainly explore themes of love, heartbreak, struggles and hope - mostly inspired by personal experiences. With more materials currently in the works, Carissa is aiming to release a full-length album soon featuring exciting collaborations with top Filipino artists.
