Born in late 2019, Lilac Queen is a thunderous post-hardcore band with subtle shoegaze tendencies. Their wall-of-sound rhythm section juxtaposed with writhing guitar leadwork creates an atmospheric onslaught. Haunting vocal duets crown the work; carefully accentuating the melodies buried beneath pummeling drum and bass passages. Influenced by relevant acts such as Title Fight, Nothing, and Paramore, Lilac Queen aims to make a name for themselves not only in their home region of New England, but as far as their chaotic presence can carry them. The release of their debut EP “If Only” captured their abrasive yet endearing coalescence of misery and melody. They expect to bring the same energy and drive through their latest release, titled “things are different now.” The ellipses trailing "If Only" will resolve in a collection of the band's deepest passions, fears, and ambitions, answering the questions posed by their previous release. With a strong wind of ability and passion beneath them, Lilac Queen is the band to keep your eyes on over the next few years.
