The Seattle-based boys of Long Read first came together as friends in the Texas countryside, sharing and expanding influences and abilities in that strange soil. After years of joyful collaborations and musical projects they initiated a slow and steady migration to the PNW.
In what began as an opportunity for reunited friends to connect and create, regular basement jams became regular practices, always beginning with a shared meal. The warmth of this community is reflected in songs about resurrection from sorrow, and rounding the corner to find peace, new love, or the same slow-burning ontological crises.
Whether drawn from crate diggings or pop nuggets in plain sight, Long Read collages their tunes from influences across decades of the indie rock and pop, new wave grooves, and of course their complicated love of their southern roots.
