In 1996, ex-El Cubanero singers Mario Carcassés and Gualberto Ferrer, aka Bebeto, decided to form a new son band that brought talented Cuban musicians together. The nine-piece group was called Los Jubilados and they recorded their debut album, Cero Farandulero, in 1998, released by Caribe Productions, returning in 2000 with Oyeme Cachita! Unfortunately, original member Rafael Lafarguez passed away that same year in his native Santiago de Cuba. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
