Loud Colors is a Scandinavian producer duo that mixes pop and EDM in a contemporary manner. The two members Andreas Kempe and Simon Grøn Larsen first met when they sat next to each other on a bus in the very northern part of Denmark. It was their first day of orientation for their university studies in popular music and music production at Aalborg University, and they instantly connected over their approach to making music. While Andreas had worked a lot with pop, Simon had a lot of experience with EDM, and together they would form the duo Loud Colors.
Loud Colors’ sound reflects Andreas’ and Simon’s respective backgrounds in pop and EDM: their songs are filled with hook lines and strong vocals but also make room for the mandatory drops. They build on the Scandinavian EDM legacy while also representing the new generation of producers.
