Louis-Ronan Choisy was born on May 12, 1977 in Paris. After playing in indie-rock bands, he released his first album D’apparence en apparence in 2003.
After the pop sound of La nuit m'attend and the synthetic textures of the album Les enfants du siècle, Rivière de plumes was released in 2010, warmer and luminous, and he sang on the album Couleurs sur Paris by the French band Nouvelle Vague. That same year, he played in Le Refuge, a François Ozon movie. He also composed the soundtrack for the film.
In 2020, a purely instrumental and experimental album, Les corps fantômes, followed the electric and urban Crocodile. He then composed the original scores for the films Grotte Cosquer, Homo sapiens et la mer and Grand Canyon - Un voyage au centre de la Terre by Vincent Perazio, which blend orchestral writing and electronic sounds.
Patterns of Change, his latest recording, was released in 2025.
