Born in Bristol, Louise set out as an opera singer and studied at the famous Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. It was her chance encounter with producers Tim Smit (Eden Project) and Charlie Skarbek that led to the Hit album MIDNIGHT BLUE. Now regarded as the first combination of a classical melody and popular idioms to have enjoyed world-wide success and rise as one of the ten most played records in the USA (Guiness Music Records).
Combined with her second album AFTER THE STORM, Louise sold over 3 million copies with appearances on numerous shows including the Yamaha Song Festival in Japan, Top of the Pops in the UK and Michel Drucker in France.
Whilst resolutely proud of her achievements in popular music, Louise chose to return most of all to her roots in classical music, where she enjoyed performing in operas and oratorio concerts with numerous choral societies.
During her varied opera career, she has performed for many companies including Dublin Grand Opera, Kent Opera, Aix-en-Provence and Holland Park. She has enjoyed singing many roles ranging from Dido (Purcell) to Ulrica (Verdi). It was in romantic oratorios such as Verdi's Requiem and Elgar's Dream of Gerontius that she enjoyed the most acclaim.
For the past 20 years she has mostly dedicated her work to young singers and enjoys considerable success as a teacher, where her wealth of experiences offered her pupils an unusually cosmopolitan education that she shares both on line and from her home.
