Luciana Mello was born in São Paulo, Brazil and started in music with 5 years old, recording with her father, Jair Rodrigues . Since then , Luciana has dedicated her life to arts, by studying music, dance, theater and musical theater. Her first solo album, “Luciana Rodrigues”, came in 1996.
In 1998 she joined PedroMariano, Wilson Simoninha, Daniel Carlomagno, Max de Castro and her brother Jair Oliveira in the project Projeto Artistas Reunidos. Produced by Mr. Oliveira, she released the albums “Assim Que Se Faz” in 2000, which sold more than 200k copies; “Olha Pra Mim” (feat. Pedro Mariano & EdMotta ) in 2002; “L.M” (2004) and Nêga (2007) (featuring Gabriel O Pensador and Thalles Roberto ). In 2009 came The cd/dvd “O Samba Me Cantou”, together with Jair Oliveira.
In 2011 came 6º Solo produced by Otávio de Moraes, featuring her father Jair Rodrigues and Corneille (in the French track “Couleur Café”). In 2016 Luciana released her first only “samba” album, Na Luz do Samba produced by Walmir Borges and dedicated to her father. It was nominated as as best samba album in The Latin Grammy 2017!
Luciana Mello is considered one of the greatest Brazilian singers of all times and consistently impresses audiences with her live performances.
Has also performed w/ Luiz Melodia, Tom Zé, Roupa Nova, Sandra De Sá, Pedro Mariano, and many others.
