Cornwall based singer songwriter Lucie Hill (known to her fans in New Zealand as Little Lapin) offers listeners a peek into her heart space with heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies.
Lucie Hill has been writing, recording and performing music since 2010 and received international critical acclaim for her debut album ‘Remember the Highs’ which was voted Best International Album of 2015 by Unsigned and Independent Music Magazine. Prior to 2009, Lucie Hill was a closet bedroom composer until she travelled over 11k miles from her hometown of Plymouth to a surf town in New Zealand and reinvented herself as Little Lapin - an indie folk musical artist. What was meant to be a gap year in Australia for a bright-eyed and optimistic girl in her mid twenties, ended up being five years of carving out a musical career in New Zealand.
Her music has been well received in the UK with her track Magnet Eyes being featured on BBC6 Music Recommends (Steve Lamacq). Her sophomore album (Wake up with the Sun) was a sun-drenched acoustic alt-country/americana offering and one of the track’s from this album (Narrabeen) was played on BBC Radio 2 (Bob Harris).
More recently Lucie Hill has been carving out a collaborative career which has seen her releasing music with Ben Barter (Lorde) and Eden Iris (X Factor NZ finalist).
