Luminance

Southern California native Luminance, aka Debbie Chun, has been dynamically immersed in the world of music for her entire life. At age three, she began playing classical piano, and she escalated to violin and viola soon thereafter, breaking in the professional ranks of dance music in November of 2020. 

Luminance had studied Advertising Design at The Art Institute of California, a instinctive extension of her lifelong predilection for the applied arts, given her innate skills in painting—not only in her preferred medium of choice, acrylic on canvas, but also in her endeavors in body art, caricatures, letter brush art, and pastel portraits, once created at Disneyland.

After producing independent films of short and feature length, Luminance worked in esports and video games in the 2010s, where she managed players in the Overwatch League and League Of Legends franchise team. Her affinity for gaming has driven Luminance’s plight in music, driving her career to unprecedented plateaus in 2021. Though she has been naturally attracted to the trance genre, Luminance is equally adept in writing for a horde of musical styles.

Propelled by a personal tragedy which occurred in October of 2020, Luminance turned to trance music, snapping her back to reality, and using her chosen musical forum to pay it forward, helping the masses with her uplifting melodies. Unquestionably, Luminance has only just begun to unearth her musical passions and create incredible work for an awaiting public.
