Born July 4, 1957 in Singapore, Mohammed Nasir was a multi-talented and multi-faceted performer in the Malaysian entertainment world. His skills were discovered while fronting a local band in 1978, and by the following year, Nasir landed a record deal with Polygram Singapore and released his debut album, Untuk Pencinta Seni. Over the next 30 years, Nasir who also proved himself an adept songwriter and actor released and appeared on more than 15 albums including 2006's Sang Pencinta, in a number of films, and won a plethora of industry awards. Easily one of his country's most popular stars, Nasir made more recent waves as a star of the reality talent show Akademi Fantasia. ~ Chris True, Rovi
